The campsite was absolutely perfect. The owners are kind and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Facilities are first class and the dog enclosures made everything so easy for both us and our two labradors.

When the dogs discovered the lake they thought they had died and gone to heaven!

What a wonderful little campsite and ideal if you have a dog and book one of the « dog friendly » pitches where they don’t have to be confined to a lead – all pitches are generous size wise. Facilities clean and modern. Fantastic lake that both the dogs, humum and hudad swam in, together with a swimming pool that’s ideal to cool off in as it was extremely hot when we were there. Fantastic night sky and so quiet. Don’t miss a visit to Monpazier, Sarlat la Caneda and Le Roque-Gageac. Owners really welcoming but not overbearing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and its certainly a site we will return to.

This is absolutely my type of campsite. Large fully serviced (water electricity and drainage) pitches, including 3 fenced « dog pitches ». There is a lake on their land which you can walk around and let your dogs swim in it. Only a very small site situated just outside Montpazier. There is a small swimming pool on site which they have just installed. Large enough for a cool off after a hot day. Its insanely quiet at night, just the birds. There’s nothing really for children to do here so unless they can amuse themselves and dont need constant entertainment maybe not the site for you. Likewise there is no bar or entertainment for adults either. Just what I look for!!

You need a car to get around but its well situated to see everything in the Western Dordogne. For example Sarlat/Domme is around 25 miles ish away and took us around 45 mins to get there. Belves just up the road is another place worth a visit.

The owners are great. Always available but never in your face. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Came away fully rested and will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

Een oase van rust en stilte temidden van de Dordogne. Echt het soort kamping waar wij van houden. Sanitair is tip-top en er is een frigo ter beschikking aan de receptie. Water, elektriciteit en zelfs een wifi-netwerk aanwezig op je kampeerveld. Zwemmen kan in een zwembad of een meer op de site en er zijn leuke dorpjes vlakbij! De hosts waren behulpzaam en vriendelijk en kunnen je te woord staan in het Frans of Engels. Erg genoten van ons verblijf hier, en dat aan een schappelijke prijs! Wij komen hier zeker terug!

De klantvriendelijkheid is erg fijn en de communicatie gaat erg soepel.

Je ziet dat ze vol op bezig zijn om de camping helemaal mooi te maken en uit te breiden. Fijne ruime staan plaatsen en een lekker zwembad om af te koelen.

De zonsondergang is te zien bij het meertje verderop, daar kan je heerlijk op een bankje zitten.

Dit is gewoon een heerlijke rustige camping. Met 5 minuten ben je in het dorpje monpazier met leuke winkeltjes. Zeker een aanrader als je volledig tot rust wil komen.

Heerlijke rustige camping. Zwembad en een meer om af te koelen en nette voorzieningen.

Wifi is mogelijk op aanvraag.

De camping eigenaren zijn er vriendelijk en denken mee. Zo mochten wij(omdat we een plek hadden met weinig schaduw) ruilen met een andere plek!

Zeker een aanrader als je een rustige camping wil dichtbij een heel leuk dorp Monpazier.

Endroit très calme très beau avec des propriétaires très sympa et très discret. Et ce qui est du prix très satisfaisant par rapport à certains campings ou vous payez plus de 30€ et que vous avez aucune tranquillité. Et vous avez aussi une grande pièce de détente magnifique avec ces canapé, que vous n’avez pas ailleurs, ainsi que ce réveil au milieu de la nature avec le chant des oiseaux. Moi je trouve cette Endroit magnifique et reposant. Les insatisfait passés votre chemin et allez sur des aires de camping car, je trouve que vous y serez mieux. Et ce qui est des emplacements c’est juste super grand avec eau électricité et vidange pour chaque emplacements pour ma part je n’ai jamais eu ça avant. Encore merci aux propriétaires cette Endroit est très magnifique, je recommande.

Best to contact in advance to book site! Small, peaceful campsite of only 10 huge pitches. Lovely farm setting and dog friendly, with 3 separately fenced in gated pitches. Walking access to 30ha of private land, including large dam. Swimming pool, excellent WiFi – 1 for each pitch (daily fee but worth it because it works). Simple and relaxing camping with access to excellent hiking and cycling trails. Great bathrooms. Really loved it.

Lune sur la Lac is een geweldige echte boerencamping voor de liefhebber van rust, goede faciliteiten (schone, ruime wc’s en douches), een magnifique uitzicht en mooie stadjes in de buurt. Ook een ideale plek voor hondeneigenaren. Jo is het vrolijke en gastvrije gezicht van de camping. Kortom een aanrader!

What a fantastic site!!!!

We were welcomed from minute one.

A quiet and tranquil campsite with 5 star facilities. The toilet and showers are probably the best we have encountered on our travels.

Jo and Ian were extremely helpful throughout with exceptional local knowledge.

The large dog secure pitches are a breath of fresh air .

Beautiful country views our own private lake as well as swimming pool what’s not to like.

Finally the historical walled town of Monpazier is only a few Kms away offering great shopping and plenty of good quality bars and restaurants.

This site is definitely worth a return visit !!!

We store our van here. It is safe and well maintained. For dog owners the pitches are secure and our 2 love to swim in the lake.

The shower and toilet block are very good and always clean.

Ian and Jo are excellent hosts, we have been holidaying here for the last 3 years as the are is beautiful and has so many great places to visit..

The site is being regularly updated and has just benefited from an outdoor swimming pool..

Strongly recommend this site if you’re looking for either travel around Dordogne area or for pure relaxation.

Close to Monpazier – one of the best medieval bastide towns in the area and with access to many of the areas of interest in Dordogne.

We currently have our caravan stored with Jo and Ian so have visited their lovely site on numerous occasions.

It is ideally situated to visit around the Dordoyne and beyond.

The facilities are spotless, with separate men’s and ladies. The pitches are really spacious, and you can take a stroll around their beautiful lake. It is a short drive into the historic town of Monpazier which has a selection of bar’s and restaurants.

To sum up, Jo and Ian are always on hand should you need them, they are a lovely friendly couple and nothing is ever too much trouble. Great site and would absolutely recommend staying here.

Super séjour dans une caravane d une très grande propreté accueil chaleureux et propriétaire aux petits soins merci pour ce séjour bonne continuation à vous.

Accueil chaleureux, très bonne communication, un lac, des vaches, des fleurs et la piscine. Nous avons passe 3 jours agréables dans une caravane. Le petit camping est bien calme et une fois on est sur place, on a l’impression de l’ambiance de demi-sauvage. Endroit bien adapte a la situation covid actuelle. Je recommande.

If you want somewhere quiet and not mad busy this is a great little site, pitches well spaced out and some with fences so great for dogs. Can cycle into Monpazier or a long walk. Facilities very nice and clean. The owners Ian and Jo are absolutely superb, helpful, friendly nothing too much trouble, we are new Motorhomers and being able to ask Ian the odd question made our stay even better. Highly recommend.

Had a great time, our little tent survived lots of rain! Great spotless facilities. Will be back soon!

Camping très calme, communs très propres. Le camping est à quels minutes de la Bastide de Monpazier qui est un très joli village médiéval.

Très bon accueil emplacement pour tente royal sanitaire impeccable situé à proximité de monpazier.

Caravane spacieuse (plus encore que ne le laissent entendre les photos, très fidèles par ailleurs), confortable et très bien équipée.

Le camping est au calme en pleine campagne, à deux pas de la bastide de Monpazier et avec un petit lac bienvenu pour se rafraîchir après une chaude journée. Douches et sanitaires communs nickels, refaits à neuf.

Hôte disponible et super sympa.

Nous avons prolongé notre séjour avec plaisir.

En bref un séjour parfait, une belle expérience que nous espérons pouvoir renouveler !

We have spent a fortnight at this campsite and what a great place it is.Ian and Joe make you most welcome and with just the right amount of contact with you .The facilities are amongst the best we have come across in France and are kept spotless.Ian and Joe also have great plans for the future and we will be back for sure. We have just spent a lovely week here at the campsite . We could not have been made more welcome by both Ian and Jo who were extremely helpful and understanding.

The facilities are perfect with a beautiful toilet and shower block and each pitch is certainly a large comfort size with privacy hedges but near enough to each other to make a very friendly feel to the whole site.

The plans for the future sound exciting and we wish you all the luck in moving the site forward to be even more impressive. We will certainly hope to return to see it as it grows.

Wir waren im September 2018 mit unseren beiden Hunden für 3 Wochen auf diesem naturbelassenen Campingplatz und hatten ausgesprochen gutes Wetter.

Die Anzahl der Stellplätze ist zwar überschaubar (ca. 10 – 12), das absolute Highlight für Hundebesitzer sind aber die beiden ca. 300 qm großen, eingezäunten Stellplätze, in denen sich der Vierbeiner frei bewegen kann.

Für uns das ausschlaggebende Argument für diesen Campingplatz.

Weitere positive Aspekte sind die absolute Ruhe, die man dort genießen kann und der riesige Teich auf dem bäuerlichen Anwesen, wo Mensch und Tier auch gleichzeitig baden gehen können.

Die Sanitäranlagen sind sauber und modern und das 4 km entfernte Monpazier hält viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Donnerstag ist Markttag) und Restaurants bereit.

Die Betreuung durch das junge englische Ehepaar ,das ebenfalls auf dem weitläufigen Gelände wohnt, war sehr herzlich und sofort hilfsbereit zur Stelle als unser Auto in die Werkstatt musste.

Wir haben uns dort rundum wohlgefühlt und wollen auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder kommen.

If you fancy somewhere special for lunch/dinner Étincelles – La Gentilhommière is worth the drive!

This is a lovely, peaceful site, perfectly situated to explore the Dordogne. It was our first stay in a caravan and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The shower block is very modern and spotlessly clean and the owners could not have been more helpful. You are very close to the beautiful Bastide town of Monpazier which has all the amenities you would want including fabulous restaurants and bakeries. The area itself is rich in history and is very beautiful – food and drink is simply exquisite. There is very little light pollution so after dark you are treated to beautiful starlit skies. This a great site from which to explore a quite magical area.

We camped here at the end of June 2018. If you are looking for a beautiful tranquil site that your dogs will love too then I could not recommend this too highly. We really appreciated the spotless high quality facilities with huge walk-in wet rooms. We had endless sunshine so did not use the indoor communal area, but what a good idea. But even better was the huge enclosed pitch that our dogs quickly claimed as their own garden. Thank you Ian and Jo: we had an excellent holiday.
